There’s no more need for predictions. Senator Barack Hussein Obama is America’s 44th president-elect and the first African-American to be one.
Change indeed has come for America.
This historic moment reminds me of one Bob Dylan's "Hurricane", one song that might as well reflect the story of Barack Obama, the struggle of the black people to be free, and even the story of every American --- black or white.
Congratulations to Senator Barack Hussein Obama, a true “champion of the world”.
Here is Bob Dylan’s “Hurricane”:

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said already? Congratulations indeed to the new Prez, Barack Obama.

This only goes to show that the US is still the undisputed land of possibilities, where democracy reigns supreme.
Obama truly makes history! Hope he can walk the talk, though, as he leads the most powerful nation in the world. Such pressure.

Suddenly, I grieve for our nation....Hope and pray change will come in the Philippines.

To Wil: There's so much euphoria in Obama's camp, words are indeed meaningless right now.

To Bing: Hurray and more power to him!

To Sidney: It should be, considering the republican's debacle with the unpopularity of Pres. Bush's actions and decisions. We just hope, it would be right for a long, long time.

To Jayred: That is also in my mind; after all the euphoric celebration, Sen. Obama (or shall I say now Pres. Obama) would have to buckle down and do a lot of hardwork and resolve a lot of problems, from inside and outside. I bet the honeymoon would be the shortest among all new American presidents.

now he's the most powerful political icon.

I heard that even in Kenya his victory was celebrated. A boy and girl twins were named Barack Obama and Michelle Obama
Obama's victory was inevitable. America had just too much of George W.'s stink. I hope his victory could stimulate the world economy and bring about a much needed change in America's reputation.
