Hello everyone. I’ve been so busy lately but it won’t be for long. To restart from a semi-blog-hibernation, I am doing this tag from Gypsy.
- Name one person who made you laugh last night? This is not a good way to start this tag but I believe, I did not laugh last night even for one single time, Maybe a smirk might have occured. But not a laugh.
- What were you doing at 0800? I was drinking coffee and puffing a cigarrette.
- What were you doing 30 minutes ago? Masaging the head of the wife. She had a mild headache I think.
- What happened to you in 2006? That’s a year ago; I cried an ocean when my father died.
- What was the last thing you said out loud? “Why the hell did you not answer your ringing cellphone when I was calling!?”
- How many beverages did you have today? 3 big cups of coffee and a soda.
- What color is your hairbrush? Black as the night.
- What was the last thing you paid for? The hospital bill of my son Yves, who was admitted two days ago due to high fever. He was positive for dengue fever and it scared the hell out of me. But he is fine now said the doctor and we’re at home now.
- Where were you last night? At the hospital.
- What color is your front door? Brown wood.
- Where do you keep your change? In the pocket of any trouser or short pants I wear. Lately, the wife bought me a small woven purse—but can’t get used to it just as yet.
- What’s the weather like today? Rainy in the morning; so sunny in the afternoon.
- What’s the best ice-cream flavor? Rocky Road (like verns and sngl had said)
- What excites you? New music from my favorite bands, an up and coming intelligent and popular bestseller, a very good new movie, (mostly) meeting my kids upon coming home after a long day, this new job as a lecturer in the University—so many things.
- Do you want to cut your hair? I am thinking about it right now, perhaps to neater when Monday comes. That, if I’ll find time by tomorrow.
- Are you over the age of 25? Yes, of course.
- Do you talk a lot? Perhaps, just reasonably.
- Do you watch the O.C.? No. But I heard it’s good. I am always tuned in to sports and news that’s why. Can’t even watch my fave Friends reruns nowadays.
- Do you know anyone named Steven? Not personally. But I knew too well that Bono of U2 had sang about him or had mentioned him in the song “Silver and Gold”.
- Do you make up your own words? So rarely.
- Are you a jealous person? I believe I am. But it depends. On love and affection, I am. On other things, not so much.
- Name a friend whose name starts with the letter ‘A’. Arlene.
- Name a friend whose name starts with the letter ‘K’. King.
- Who’s the first person on your received call list? The wife.
What does the last text message you received say? “Come to WMCC now.” WMCC being the hospital my son was admitted in just two days ago.
Do you chew on your straw? Why would I?It’ll be so strange.
- Do you have curly hair? None that could be seen.
- Where’s the next place you’re going to? The University this Monday. I’ll stay home all day tomorrow if possible.
- Who’s the rudest person in your life? Some person.
- What was the last thing you ate? Rice and fish.
- Will you get married in the future? No idea.
- What’s the best movie you’ve seen in the past 2 weeks? None that I could remember. Like I said, I am always watching sports or news on TV.
- Is there anyone you like right now? Always had. Some kind or gentle person.
- When was the last time you did the dishes? This evening after I had dinner (alone).
- Are you currently depressed? Depressed, no. But laidback, yes.
- Did you cry today? No.
- Why did you answer and post this? It’s fun and it’s a tag, you know.
- 5 people you tag next? I do not do this often, but I want to be excused this time from tagging other bloggers for this tag—even if it’s so fun and mind-opening.

Sana maka recover na agad ang anak mo.

To myepinoy: Thanks pare. Medyo malakas-lakas na siya ngayon. It was really scary. His fever wasn’t that high that I was thankful that my wife had advised to have a consultation with the doctor and it was there that he was found out to be positive for the dengue fever.
I was thinking where he might have gotten it. We have alawys made our sorroundings free from stagnant waters where these virulent mosquitoes breed.
Perhaps, he had gotten it in Ipil, a rural town about 300 kms. from here, after we went there last week.

Sad to hear about your son. Its no fun to get Dengue. In fact it freaks me out. Anyway, good to hear he is feeling better now.

” Did you cry today? ” - What a question ! LOL
Good to know your son is OK now. Keep those mosquito lotions handy !
Comment by bw — November 11, 2007 @ 8:28 pm
To Sidney: That’s the most apt description of what I felt, really scared and freaked out. It’s such a queer affectation, there’s really no medication aimed at it but water and rehydration.
To BW:I am thinking of spraying the sorroundings more often than before; that would keep those dangerous mosquitoes at bay.

OH, I’m sorry to read that he had dengue. But thank God, he’s alright now.
Anyway, from your 38 - ang daming question naman yan- hehehe…I miss #3. My husband used to do that to me.

I guess the nos. 8 and 9 answers the question why you weren’t updating the past week. Hope your son is okay now, bro…

The year 2006, April 30, was one of the saddest day for me for less than 12 hours after greeting my big brother and my best friend his happy birthday and planning for the holy week derby and being assured that his already damaged heart (from previous attacks) was working so well, a call came that he suffered a fatal massive cardiac arrest at work in DAR office in Samal Island, Davao and that day I will always remember…
I was home and his son still proceed with the entry in the derby and we tie, 2 wins, 2 loss and 1 tie. that was his passion.

To ipanema: He’s is so fine now but as I said, it scared the hell out of me. I can’t believed that
despite the great caution we have in our environment, this thing had to happen.
It’s actually a some form of ritual we have with my wife, sometimes she messages my back too.
To barrycade: Oh, that’s so sad to hear. We should always be cautious extraordinarily. It is sometimes
deceiving and strikes when one least expects it.
To Ms. B: Good to hear from you once again Ms. B. Kumusta diha sa sugbu. I miss that place so much. By the way, my wife would be going there on the 26th for a week long
seminar.
To Schumey: He is fully recovered now Schumey: Thanks so much for teh concern.
To vic: Really sad to hear about that. I hope his soul would be in the Lord’s caring embrace now. I pray and hope.
To Gypsy: It should be better. It could only go up as they say. Thanks for the concern Gypsy.
To Mon: OK na sya pre. Salamat na lang sa pedia niya na napansin niya and condition ng anak ko. It was really far from my expectation.

“Will you get married in the future? No idea.”
hmmmm coz you are already married hehe
Hey bro…will pray for your son

Hope your son fully recovers soon.
My son when he was 9 also had dengue. It was so bad he needed blood transfusion. Ten years ago, I also had dengue. I was about to be given blood transfusion but my platelet count started to go up. Maybe because I was given gamma globulin.
Dengue fever is scary.

So glad your son is okay now. Dengue is so scary. I was talking last week with this young doctor when I took my daughter to ER for some gastro-intestinal trouble. She mentioned the hospital was fully booked because of dengue cases. And I asked if it was dengue season again. She answered that it has gone so that all year round is dengue season.
Interesting to know about those trivial and nt so trivial things about the major. And glad you can take time out to blog again.

i am sorry to hear about your son. i hope he’s very ok now. when my eldest was taken to the hospital because of the doctor’s suspicion that she might be stricken with it, i was so scared. am so relieved it was not dengue.
you seem to be one passionate man.

So sorry to hear about your son, but it’s good that he’s okay now.
It’s so sweet of you to massage your wife’s head.
Rocky Road was also my favourite ice cream when I was still there. But I don’t see that flavour in the stores where I do my groceries here.
