The Citizen On Mars Blue 1 Theme

I have a dream. This is not really huge or fantastic. Like dreaming of having a grand bungalow or a Lamborghini. On the contrary, it is highly doable.

I dream that one day I’d be able to build a world famous Wordpress theme. How do I achieve it? By practice of course and creating this very simple but elegant Blogsome theme.

This is the CITIZEN ON MARS Blue 1 theme—for Blogsome users, it is readily available for use. I am still trying to figure out how to convert it into a Wordpress theme if it becomes good enough.

In designing this template, I have imagined what design elements were I always looking for when thinking for my own blog site. I had always liked very white pages and very catchy headers and main titles. And I like columns in it, like famous information sites around the web.

This theme that I have designed could easily be customizable for it does not contain many images, merely buttons for bullets and color shadings that can be modified anytime.

For Blogsome users, please download the zip file HERE.

  2. To ipanema: That’s how I’ve learned designing, by tweaking and like you did, I made major errors in the process.

My advise is to download the original version of your template and get the atom.xml tag there and paste it in your codes, right where it was before.

  4. Oh wow. You’re already designing templates. Nice. I also like very simple designs and definitely light background, if not white.

  5. To sidney: Thanks. I’ve seen some good designs before but photo blog designs are not really so vast in number that’s it is not as easy to find.

  6. To niceheart: Light backgrounds is always easy on the eye; but not so bright I guess for it might be so blaring to the sight as you open the browser.

  21. To catatau: I am glad you liked it so well. It is just a beta version coz there’s some problems on its positioning since it is not centered on small monitors but on medium or large monitors it looks perfect. I’ll inform you when the revised version comes up.

I’d work on the Pressrow tags ASAP and I’ll inform you also about that…

  24. To bw: I do enjoy doing such activity like it appeases a smoldering yearning inside me, to do something and create. It do take some of my precious time but it’s worth it…

  25. To ipanema: Must be a a misplaced tag that had happened. Anyway, what’s good with codes is that you could redo it as much as one wants—just do not forget to always keep a file of it, or at least the latest stylesheet and index documents in your files. That way, it is easy to retrieve whenever the tags get crazy.

  28. Very nice, Major Tom! I’ll wait for it to be used in Wordpress. Could the header be changed? That’s always my criteria in choosing a theme.
