To bingskee: I reckoned it would be that way; what with all the smogs and global conflicts we have here. If there'd be intelligent life forms ou there, they might just be a tad smarter to have a better planet--a peaceful and cleaner one.

i cannot imagine other life forms to be existent. it's so much difficult with the humans, it would be much difficult with the martians and the venuses living with us humans. ha ha that is to say, the earth was made for the human species. if there are aliens, they will not choose earth - they will be corrupted ha ha

To sngl: That's another good point in favor of their veracity or probability...So many things unseen out there and out here on Earth that we could not deby or easily set aside, and we believe in them despite of that.

Just because they are never seen nor heard doesn't mean that they don't exist.

To eric: Speaking of Arthur Clarke, I just learned from a National Geographic episode that it was actually Arthur Clarke who have found out the way and the manner of calculating how satellites could stay in course with the rotation of the earth, and therefore stay stationary (virtually) at one constant or almost constant arae in the sky---vis-a-vis the earth space below.

If Mr. Clarke could be so smart to discover this inventive way to put a huge metal in its proper place in the sky, then his predictions might not be that far off.

With billions of galaxies in our universe, Major Tom, hunch tells me God must have created other forms of higher intelligence out there to participate in the universe's ongoing evolution.

Arthur Clarke once predicted there would be close encounters of the first kind before the end of the century; unfortunately, nothing of the sort occurred.

Nonetheless, I do believe in aliens :)

To tutubi: Contact seem to be the hardest thing to achieve in a universe so wide beyond human comprehension.
