Blogsome Themes, Wordpress Themes |
By MAJOR TOM |
April 13, 2007This is the Marki Theme by ikram-zidane and it's remarkably modern and polished. It is truly a css work of art and genius lies behind it. The dark theme does not make the whole look so tight and gloomy like most designs based on the black color but is even delightful with a creamy vanilla header. Here's a screenshot of it:
This is the theme which I am presently using. I have been tinkering with other Wordpress designs and mostly they do not work well in both IE and Mozilla so I have just discarded them despite hours and hours of manual recoding. But the Marki Theme has no similar problem whatsoever. So if you are a Blogsome user, you can use this theme now by downloading the codes that I have especially rearranged for Blogsome. Download it now.
If you are purely a Wordpress user, you can visit this page for its files.

To sidney: It's that what it is. Thanks for the good note.
To melai: Totoo yan sis. Sana it ain't disturbing really to the readers.
to atticus: And it is also refreshing and offering some surprise once in a while. I like it that way in fact for oter blogs I read, like being surprised with another look every now and then and see if I like it or not.
To Jaypee: Thanks Jaypee. Coming from you its truly something. I hope I wont have problems with the browsers. It is always the problem.
And I want to show you great wordpress themes that you can't find anywhere else and it is on this site Desreperate Curiousity.
To curacha: Oh I've learn to do it over a period of time. Ir ain't easy but surely it can be learned and I am certain with practice and patience, you will also learn how to do it in the future. Practice lang ang kailangan.

I've noticed you keep changing your WP themes, Major Tom.
I'd like sana to have nice WP themes for my subdomains. I just don't know how to upoad themes. People say, "Use the FTP." I don't even understand how it works. LOL.

To Jayred: I seem to keep my mind on one thing Jayred..he..he..Maybe it's so finicky of me that's why. I hope it won't be too disturbing to you.
I have not really tried to manage files on a hosted site like yours but I think you can contact your web hosting provider and inquire about Fantastico--which is a Wordpress functionality that can install themes automatically, just like magic many says.
FTP is quite complicated for mesince there are lots of other things like SQL Database setup which I tried before but cant seem to perfect it.
But I am sure your web host provider will be of great help. Most of them have ready personnel to answer your queries.

i envy you becuase you have a lot of beautiful templates. i want to change mine but so far, i haven't found something i like.
Jayred says; April 17, 2007 @ 12:26 am
No, Major Tom, the constant theme-changing doesn't "disturb" me at all.
Yes, I think I should start learning how to use the FTP stuff and all that. I can call customer service, but I'm not sure if they are that reliable....Hard to explain.
When my hosting subscription expires in September, I'm not sure if I will keep the pinoysphere.com domain...We'll see. It's a bit expensive din kasi to "maintain this hobby."

To ipanema: Surely there'd be a nice blogger template just for you sis. especially now that Blogger is already in Beta version, it becomes more powerful and fluid looking kaya lang konti pa lang ang available free templates for this new version. Soon it would more.
To Jayred: They should be reliable Jayred otherwise you should transfer to one who has ready online support.
It's a shame that you'd planning to take out that already familiar domain. However, if you decide so that's should be of your own wise decision if ever. Anyway, there are good free blogging engines naman like Wordpress.Com, Blogger and even Blogsome, which I am currently using. The problem with Blogsome is that you can't automatically transfer your previous post-ups there---manually lang and it could be laborious kung marami na.

cool Major Tom! I like your theme especially the stars in the link hehe makes me feel like my site is star quality hehehe
rhodora says; April 17, 2007 @ 1:28 pm
Nice design. Hope I can redesign my site too.
Major Tom says; April 17, 2007 @ 7:41 pm
To verns: Yeah, I like that star icon so much. It's so fancy and sharp.
To rhodora: I think you can have it redesigned if it is directly hosted. Like Jayred, you can contact your web hosting provider---I think it's a cohosting account you have there.
