“666″

It was like as if there was a total eclipse of the sun yesterday, or Halley’s Comet was passing by. There was so much buzz about yesterday’s date—the 6th of June, 2006—as it had conformed to that mythical (and dreaded) number “666”. Suddenly, talk about the world coming to an abrupt end (that is, the coming of the Apocalypse) were permeating like heavy coffee aroma floating across a narrow room. What’s with the number? What’s to believe in its legend? According to New Testament texts, “666” is the number of the Beast, the Anti-Christ who is bound to be earthbound and wreck havoc so well that there’d be rapture and end of days. In the New Testament, Revelation 13:16-18 states:
Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell who does not have the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom: let anyone with the understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a person. Its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
Within the ambiguities of the above biblical passage, many had came forward to interpret it and generally, it is supposed that “666” is the number of Satan or the Anti-Christ. Some early biblical relics have exhibited such number to be “616” (in Greek form) and could be inferred to the infamous Roman Emperor Nero by using a numerological method called Gematria. Emperor Nero was historically known as a pervent persecutor of early Christians and Jews, feeding them to the lions for the public’s seeing pleasure. In any sense, “666” is generally attached to extreme cruelty and devilishness.
This sudden numerical debate brings me to Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code’ where it was mentioned there that the pyramid structure built in front of the famous Louvre museum in Paris is made-up of exactly 666 glass panes, as requested by Francois Mitterand, the former French President. Some written materials have allegedly confirm this, like the brochures that was published in the early 80’s as a primer to the pyramid project. This fact is now being strongly rebuked by the Louvre’s administrators.
So whose afraid of “666”?
Yesterday had already passed by and nothing so grave had actually happened to the world, except for the usual (but still dreadful) explosions in Iraq and the volcanoe eruption in Indonesia. It might not be in the date that’s to be reckoned. Actually, it is generally believed that if the Anti-Christ is to come, he can actually be identified by the number “666” tattoed naturally somewhere in his body, most probably in the forehead and that way, nobody could miss his coming.
But I have tried myself to read and analyze the biblical text (Revelation 13:16-18) mentioning the much-talked about number but I couldn’t seem to infer nothing about it or “calculate” from it; whether or not it refers to a date or to a particular name. Maybe it had referred to “Hitler” since it’s a six-letter name or “Marcos” for that matter. But none of the two had been bad enough to qualify as the Beast, for nothing nearly apocalyptic had happened during their respective “reigns of terror”. Although they can be “apocalyptic” in many sense.
Maybe, “666” refers to the name “George”, as in George Bush. Who knows? Certainly, Almajinehad is too long a name for “666” to fit in.
Maybe, the world will be on the look-out for a guy whose first name, middle name, and last name all has six letters each. And I bet, he had to be famous to be qualified as the missing guy known as “The Beast”.
And according to this site, any among us can be the “beast”. Even Arnold Schwarzenneger.

666 is a numeric symbol that purposely marks the Vatican/Papacy throughout history, not any single individual. The number 666 is put forth in verse 13:18 in the Book of Revelation and of course, 6+6+6 equals 18, directly matching the verse number and helping to disprove any 616 assertions.
Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Men, women, and beasts symbolize organizations and groups of people in all symbolically sealed Hebrew prophecies and Revelation never mentions the so-called antiChrist. 666 is the most famous of all triangular numbers, being the sum of the whole numbers from 1 through 36. Triangular numbers were very important to Greek Pythogoreans and Hebrew wisdom groups purposely used them as pivotal symbolism pointing to Greco-Romans.
Likewise, John 21:11, which speaks of Peter, the supposed first Pope, has the number 21 in its chapter and verse number. 21 is also a triangular number that is the sum of all whole numbers from 1-6, thereby forming a triangle with three 6 point sides, hence a triangular 666.
John 21:11
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land (earth) full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three (153); and for all there were so many, yet the net was not broken.
Additionally, 153 is a triangular number that is the sum of the whole numbers 1 through 17. Also the verse number is 11 and the sum of all whole numbers from 1 through 11 equals 66 and 17-11 equals 6. Why are 11 and 17 important in this verse talking about Peter and 666? The Second Temple period of ancient Israel was during the 11th 360-year cycle on the Hebrew calendar and the 21st century is the beginning of the 17th cycle, which began in Hebrew year 5761, which was Christian year 2001. Thereby, John 21:11 purposely links Peter, the Papacy, 666, and the 11th through 17th cycles on the Hebrew calendar. Notice also that the prophecies of St. Malachy say that the Papacy will end shortly, which will be during the 21st century and 17th cycle? Here is Wisdom!!

There is a foolproof way to verify the truth and expose centuries-old religious deceptions. It also proves why we can no longer let the Vatican tell us what to think about ancient history or much else. It is the common thread connecting why the ancient Hebrews, Yahad/Essene, Jews, Gnostics, Cathars, Templars, Dead Sea Scrolls, DaVinci Code, and others have been targets of Rome’s ire and evil machinations. The Vatican and its secret society cohorts don’t want you to understand that the ancient Hebrew symbology in all of these texts purposely encodes and exposes the truth about them. Furthermore, the structure of ancient wisdom symbology verifiably encodes the rules to decode messages built with it. This is what they most fear you will discover.
If the Bible represented the literal truth or even accurate history, there would be no need for faith in the assertions of deceptive and duplicitous clergy and their ilk. It is undeniable the New Testament is awash with ancient Hebrew symbolism and allegory. The same is evidenced in the Old Testament, Dead Sea Scrolls, Gnostic texts, biblical apocrypha, Quran, DaVinci Code, and other related sources. All ancient religious, mystical, and wisdom texts have been shrouded in mystery for millennia for one primary reason: The ability to understand their widely evidenced symbology was lost in antiquity. How do we finally solve these ages-old mysteries? To recast an often-used political adage: It’s [the] symbology, stupid!
It is beyond amazing that the Vatican still tries to insist the Gospels are the literal truth. Every miracle purported for Jesus has multiple direct symbolic parallels in the Old Testament, Apocalypse, Dead Sea Scrolls, and other symbolic narratives and traditions. Recasting the symbolism of earlier Hebrew texts as literal events in the New Testament is one of the central deceptions associated with Christianity. This is part of the secret knowledge held by the ancient Gnostics, Templars, Cathars, and others, which is presented with dramatic effect in the DaVinci Code. None of these narratives or stories were ever intended as the literal truth. This fact is the key to unraveling many ages-old mysteries and exposing the truth about the Vatican’s long-term deceptions.
It’s no wonder the Vatican fears the truth more than anything else. As further proof of these assertions, seek to understand the symbolic significance of my name (Seven Star Hand) and you will have proof beyond disproof that Jews, Christians, and Muslims have long been duped by the great deceivers I warned humanity about over the millennia. What then is the purpose of “faith” but to keep good people from seeking to understand the truth?
Now comes justice, hot on its heels… (symbolism…)
Not only do I talk the talk, I walk the walk…
Here is Wisdom!!

To Seven Star Hands: Wow, that’s whole lotta of good info. I appreciated it and you could say, I learned some from it. Thanks and peace also…
To racky: Gee, I never thought that the beast could be female and may be now living somewhere in Germany. Kidding aside, I never really thought that the beast could be a woman although it is very, very possible. I just have great respect and faith inthe inert kindness injected into the female specie.

Chinese are known to be really sensitive with numerology. They always try to avoid numbers 4 and 5. Their phone numbers would likely not contain these numbers. Tough luck if your house number has 4 or 5 on it. You can count Chinese customers out. They’ll not even bother to check you out.

If there really is an Anti-christ, do you think he’d be stupid enough to have the numbers 666 slapped on his forehead?
Comment by snglguy — June 7, 2006 @ 1:48 pm
To BW: Gee, this is the only time I knew bout this peculiarity. That’s whole a lot of avoiding since there’s just so many number 4’s or 5’s out there—on phone numbers, TIN numbers, street numbers, etc..–unlike 13 or 666.
To snglguy: Yeah, that’d be so stupid of him. But legend says the sign is inert and natural, like a mole. Maybe, he would have it surgically removed.

got hooked to the first commenter’s explanation. amazing how they deciphered the symbol 666.

To Bing: Indeed, it’s quite very elaborate and give us some good ideas. Many had in fact have focused their vocation on decoding the mystery of this number. But in my mind, we’ll never really know what’s the truth out there until it comes and appear before us.

Well you know how people are… They’re superstitious and stuff like that. My June 6 I think I was rushed to the ER and nothing more.
Though it is really interesting to think about the what if’s and stuff.
Speaking of which by any chance do you have a copy of Mary Magdalene’s Gospel? I heard it’s apocalyptic.
Comment by an2net — June 9, 2006 @ 3:23 pm
Thank God you came out well after being rushed to ER on that fateful date.
Like the number 13, we could say that all these apprehensions are merely a product of superstition but what makes 666 apart is that it is actually a myth coming from a writing that hundreds of millions of people actually believe in–the Bible. That makes it more interesting. I don’t want end of days, but I can’t help to ponder if such number actually foretells such, and when.
About Mary Magdalene’s Gospel, No an2net, I haven’t got a copy of it and had not read about it but I think we can find it somewhere on the net. I have read the Gospel of Thomas (which I have downloaded from the net sometime ago) and it’s very controversial although the writing is very raw and unfinished. It felt like it was written by a guy who doesn’t really know how to write. But maybe, that guy was telling the truth despite his lack of writing prowess.
