Blogsome Templates

Blogsome templates are relatively limited compared to other popular free blogging platforms like Blogger and new users may be greatly discouraged by this fact. Yet, customizability of Blogsome Wordpress templates (as offered in the themes section) is very satisfactory and if you are already adept at tweaking codes from your Blogger blogs, then you would be so surprised to find out that there’s so much more you can do with the old Kubrick or WP Default than you ever thought initially. With patience and unbending determination, you could just get that right look and right feel for your Blogsome blogs. With this, you could browse almost all Wordpress templates design available out there—even the WP 2.0 versions—and port them by tweaking your Blogsome index and style codes. Of course, you won’t be able to do this at once. You have to have some practice on the codes.

Other Blogsome template design resources includes this cool site named It’s All Beta and there you’ll be able to browse original templates for your Blogsome sites. These designs can also be customized and susceptible to redesign. In fact, using the templates here as a root design structure makes redesigning easier than using a Blogsome offered WP template.

Now if you are already so adept in HTML codes and has been tweaking such for some time now, maybe you can port some open-source designs from OSWD. At least about 60% of the template designs found there can be converted into a Blogsome template. Don’t try importing designs from this site if you are not yet fairly knowledgeable on code tweakings. Maybe later, when the right time will come.

So in summary, Blogsome templates could be found on these sites:

1. The Blogsome Default WP Templates

2 It’s All Beta

3. OSWD (needs a fair knowledge on HTML)

  1. The reason why I’m still on Blogger is because, aside from it being free, there are so many things you can do with the layout to personalize the look of your blog. But this new template looks cleaner. I like simple designs.

  5. next to WP, blogsome is really good with the templates - simple and clean. i am still at a loss with WP because of the php. just making do of what design is available, unlike in blogger where modifications can be easily done. but i like WP better.

  6. To Abaniko: Blogsome is so much similar to Blogger Niko, only difference is the availability of WP designs which is sort of in vogue right now. If you ask me, Blosome is as flexible as Blogspot. Maybe, you can try having an account with Blogsome and see if it suits you.

To singlguy: Yopu hit it right smack at the point sngl, discovering new things gives me such a high that is indescribable. It’s like creating a whole new world on its own.

To Kathy: That’s really one fatal mistake in code tweakings kathy, forgetting to back-up previous codes. But I am sure you’ll get use to it. I actually have already lost many back-up files but I just get on with it.

Dadiangas or General Santos City is really swell kathy, been there once or twice I think and I admired it so much.

To rudyman: you said so rudyman, it’s very convenient although a little complicated than usual. Gracias gayot for noticing my good template design.

To Bing: That’s right Bing. WP designs had that cleaner and fresher look and it looks very professional. I had WP sites before but I am still thinking if I shift or not by now. The WP free blog platform does not give so much custumizability. I heard their planning to do that later on.

  10. I’ve migrate my blog to WordPress cause its templates has “professional looking” even to newbies like me. The BlogSpot/Blogger templates seems too amateur even with hard code workout.
