Stick To Your Guns…America

U.S. President George W. Bush formally declared that the most proper approach to the Iran nuclear debacle would be true-blue diplomacy, and insisted that he remains committed to that option. Whatever that means. Despite this pronunciation by the U.S. President who seems to have the most wars in his hands at any one time (Nixon only had Vietnam while Reagan had the Contra affair in El Salvador), recent leaks from U.S. military sources appeared that President Bush is back once more to his peak form as a gung-ho cowboy in a suit.
Accordingly, top U.S. Military men believes that airstrikes on selected sites within Iran is the best option possible in order that Iran’s advancement in nuclear technology may be quashed effectively. Just this day, Iran’s outspoken leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced with great pride that his country had finally perfected the process of Uranium enrichment and that Iran would soon be among the “club of countries with nuclear technology”. This development may certainly make air raids into Iranian territory more and more tempting and “justifiable”.
In the past, airstrikes by America into enemy territories had resulted into mixed ends. In 1986, then President Ronald Reagan ordered air raids into Libyan facilities that were suspected to be harboring terrorists and while it had shaken Moamar Qaddafi so badly that time, terrorism had become even more virulent since then. In the 90’s, America sent fighter planes into Yugoslavian territory in order to punish reported war abuses by Serbian combatants against Bosnian civilians. These airstrikes had appeared to have weakened Serbia’s resolve to annihilate every Bosnian there is on the face of the earth and soon war in the Balkans ended.
Would an airstrike against Iran’s nuclear facilities be the most ideal option now? I believe that this might be the most dangerous maneuver President Bush will ever make in his term and may cost America more than it is willing to pay. Iran’s case is so different from Libya and Serbia. Iran’s continued thrashing of Israel is one complication that spells dread into the spine and I just hope and pray that America would handle this situation in the most calculated manner or otherwise, hell could break loose in the Middle East region.
For some time now, Israel had been itching to launch airstrikes against suspected nuclear sites in Iran and had been testing international feelings if such plan could gain wide acceptance or revolt. Perhaps, it is only because of America that Israel is sticking to its guns. And this is dreadful. What if one day, Israel won’t listen anymore and proceed hastily like it uses to do in Palestinian territories? This is a formula for an enormous war.
I may sound superstitious but this scenario reminds me of a Nostradamus prediction where he foresaw the onset of an apocalyptic war in the Middle East region, to be initiated by a rash but very enigmatic leader from one of the countries there. To my mind, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is both rash and enigmatic.
And also, biblical apocalyptic scriptures has pointed out to a ruler that would rise from the middle east region as someone that would instigate a war that could end all wars—an armageddon. I am not sure about this but I think I had once watched a television special discussing this matter lengthily.
Well, superstition or no superstition—I hope President Bush would stick to his guns this time. Bombing nuclear sites in Iran could trigger a nuclear meltdown in the area and might just escalate into a full-blown regional if not a global war, considering that Israel is so involved in this debacle and the rest of the Arab world is closely watching by.

Actually, Bush had already set his eyes on Iraq sfter they kicked out Saddam Hussein. He’s been saber rattling for a couple of years now and judging from his pat actions and that of his equally hawkish VP, an invasion of Iraq is possible. Who knows? Plans and scenarios are already in the works.
Curiously, several brass at the Pentagon is very wary of such move since this will stretch their resources, all of which is now focused on Iraq.
On the other hand, Iran is to be blamed too for Bush’s saber rattling. Ever since he won the Presidency, Ahmadinejad been harping about the annihilation of Israel, and his continuing tirade against the west hasn’t made him a favorite among the Europeans as well. In short, this guys is F**KING NUTS! What’s worse is that, he’s being manipulated by Iran’s religious hardliners…

Sorry, what I wanted to write was: Bush had already set his sights on Iran after they kicked out Saddam Hussein…

We thought that 3rd anti Christ, the “Mohammedan wearing a blue turban” predicted by Nostradamus was Kadaffy, then Sadam Hussein, then now maybe the Iran’s president.. But one thing seems evident. The US policy on the middle east appears to instigate the creation that 3rd anti christ when there is none.

Frankly, I think that bush is just putting up a face for everyone. It’s so crazy on how he could put on one thing and his hand is grabbing a cookie from a cookie jar.

To Snglguy: Yeah, Iran’s Prez looks like he’s gone awry in the head with his rash talks on Israel. If this circumstance ain’t explosive, I don’t know what it is. What bothers me is that why past U.S. administration had allowed Iran’s nuclear ambition to prosper in the past and reach this kind of refined level. Surely, their billion dollars worth of intelligence equipment could know something like this.
To BW: I have a suspicion that President Bush was so overtaken by the Nostradamus prediction and acted upon it. You know, he is deeply religious and maybe deep into mysticism at that…
To a2net: It looks that way…He’s been far too much with the cookie jar if I dare say…
To everyone: If you notice, my template is chnaging and evolving every so often lately. If it bothers you, please pardon and bear the inconvenience. I’ve just got to work on it…Hope it’s done now. Thanks to all of you…
